for participants of the City of Water Day celebration at Valentino Pier in Red Hook on Saturday, July 25th from 1–4 pm. City of Water Day is a region-wide day organized by the Waterfront Alliance and the NY–NJ Harbor & Estuary Program, and now in its 19th year it celebrates this year's theme, Living With Water. Our event — the Hooked on Red Hook Treasure Hunt Park & Pier Cleanup — brings neighbors out in maritime costume to clean up our shared waterfront, with prizes for the best (and weirdest) hauls and a community gathering to follow.
