The campaign, hosted on the free Good Standing application, is attempting to enroll all of Con Edison’s nearly four million energy users across New York City and Westchester in GridRewards, which pays customers to reduce their energy usage during critical peak hours. This is an impactful, demonstrable, fun, and social way for New Yorkers to earn money while doing good. We will help you enroll in demand response and earn the badge on Good Standing at the event! Our partners are NYC2030, a climate impact collective with 16 partner organizations across the United States, and GridRewards a demand-response application launched by climate-tech incubator Logical Buildings.

What are coupons in Good Standing?
How do I earn coupons?
You can earn coupons by completing verified tasks, challenges, or volunteer hours associated with a particular organization. For example, completing three volunteer shifts might earn you a free admission coupon, or earning five badges could unlock a partner brand discount.
Where do I find my coupons?
All coupons you've earned or received appear in your Dashboard > Coupons section. You'll also see active coupons connected to any challenges you've joined inside the Good Standing app.
How do I redeem a coupon?
Each coupon includes specific instructions and a code (or QR) for redemption.
Can I donate or transfer my coupon?
Yes! Some coupons are transferable, allowing you to share or donate them to another user. Look for the "Keep / Donate / Transfer" options inside your coupon. Non-transferable coupons will be marked as "personal use only."
How long are coupons valid?
Each coupon lists its own expiration date. Some expire after a single use, while others remain active for a set time period (for example, "valid for 1 year" for an Annual Pass).
What's the difference between coupons and badges?
Badges reflect what you've accomplished—like completing a challenge or volunteer goal. Badges can unlock coupons. Coupons are rewards you can use, donate, or exchange.
Can anyone create coupons?
Coupons can be created by verified organizations, sponsors, or brand partners within the Good Standing system. For example, an outdoor gear brand might sponsor a coupon offering 15% off their products for volunteers who earn 5 badges at a participating national park.
What if my coupon doesn't work or won't redeem?
If you run into issues, you can report a problem directly to our admin here (link to contact form). Good Standing - Your Impact, Rewarded
Why are some coupons connected to badges?
It keeps the system fair and purpose-driven. Badges ensure rewards are earned through verified impact—so every coupon redeemed reflects real contributions to the community or environment.
